Theorell (1942) has reported sedimentation and diffusion measurements on peroxidase: our value for S20 (corr.) is about 10% lower than his (3-85 x 10-13) (cf. Cecil & Ogston, 1948), while our value for D20 (corr.) agrees fairly well with his value of 6 84 x 1o-7. Our value for the molecular weight is lower than Theorell's (44,100), but is in agreement with that calculated by Keilin & Hartree (1951) from the haematin content; the chief uncertainty in our quantity probably lies in the value of V.
